American Gangster

One of the best movies of this year belongs to one of the so called good directors who I do not like him at all, Ridley Scott!


And I have all the reasons to do so although he is behind such good hits like the Gladiator and the Good Year.

But American Gangster is a really good stuff and mostly because what Steven Zaillian has done, the Script! Damn! I really have no idea how come this man have all these fantastic ideas for apparently so many years and has been at the top of the business for a long time.

They have paid their respects to the Godfathers in lot of scenes which are clear but the happy ending does not seem to be one of them, and I do not know how this true story had had such a happy ending!

American Gangster is about good detectives, drug importers and corrupted cops which we have heard a lot; but this shit has a lot more to offer. And as I just said forget about the happy ending and enjoy the rest of the movie.

By the way I have not found any answer why we need to talk about the greatness of America and American Dreams all the time!?!
